Hyde Perk has a very peaceful and quiet vibe to it, which makes it the perfect place to relax with a cup of coffee or curl up with a good book. The staff is extremely nice and welcoming and a great coffee break spot!

Hyde Perk's coffee has a very unique taste. Although it doesn't have as bold of flavors as other coffee shops in the area, their coffee and espresso is very smooth and still incredibly tasty! Something I found interesting was that their caramel had notes of maple flavors which was unique and definitely something I'd drink again!

Awakenings Coffee Roasters isn't the biggest space in all of Cincinnati, but don't let that deter you from not visiting this delicious coffee shop! This is what I would consider to be a "social" coffee shop where almost everyone in the store is usually chatting with someone else. There's outdoor seating, and even on a sunny 40 degree day, the patio seating is a great spot to hang out with friends!

Awakenings Coffee almost always has a line close to the door, and for good reason! Their coffee is delicious. Their espresso is strong, smooth, and not too bitter at all. The perfect combination! The smoothness of the espresso blends nicely with syrups and sauces as well, perfect for any flavored latte.

Coffee Emporium has two locations in Cincinnati, one in the heart of Over the Rhine, and the other in Hyde Park. Both locations are great for a coffee date, however the OTR location has much more seating. Although what the Hyde Park location lacks in seating is made up for by a beautiful outdoor patio, great when it's nice outside!

"Really Good Coffee," the slogan of Coffee Emporium, perfectly describes their coffee. Their espresso is rich in flavor and has the perfect amount of bitterness in both their lattes and brewed coffee. Nothing about their coffee is hard to drink, since all of their drinks are so smooth. BONUS, their beans are roasted just down the street from the OTR location!

Redtree is a very calming place to be, especially in the middle of bustling downtown Oakley. It's usually a pretty quiet shop, so it's definitely a great place to go to and study, read a book, or just take a quiet break. There's also art by local artists around the shop, not only making the shop cute but also being a place to support local artists.

Coffee always test better when it's made quickly and the baristas are kind. Redtree is the place for that! The coffee itself isn't the strongest of all the Cincinnati coffee shops, but it definitely has multiple flavors hidden within their espresso. I always recommend Redtree as a place to go, as it's a prime location, cute atmosphere, and delicious coffee.

Every location varies, but each Deeper Roots location makes coziness a priority. It's always a quiet environment, that is perfect for studying or getting some work done. All the stores have a very homey feel to them, making it easy to get comfortable to enjoy a nice cup of coffee!

Deeper Roots coffee can be found in several different local coffee shops across Cincinnati. There's a reason why they are so popular! Their coffee has a very strong and compelling taste, and their flavored lattes and coffees are never too sweet because of the bold and acidic flavor of their coffee.
Haven Cafe: Oakley

Very minimalistic and modern. There isn't much seating, just a few two person tables, a couch, and a few seats looking out to the street. I came here on a Saturday morning, so of course one of the busiest times, and since there's not a ton of seating, it's a bit difficult to find a spot. If you're looking for the minimalistic vibe though, Haven is the place!

Haven Cafe's espresso itself is pretty neutral- not acidic, but also not bold and very smooth either. It's pretty neutral. However, Haven has a ton of unique and creative lattes and matchas from their Cinny-Toast Crunch Cream Top Latte to the Matchamisu Latte! Check out Haven if you love new and unique lattes.
