Caffe Vivace is one of the most unique coffee shops in Cincinnati. In the evenings, they have jazz artists and groups perform shows, that almost always sell out. Even though there are extra costs for the tickets, it's always worth it! Cafe Vivace has such a unique culture that is always a fun experience.

Caffe Vivace's coffee is strong and bold. I love how their espresso mixes in with their syrups, and it creates the most perfect blend of milk, espresso, and syrup, with the espresso still powering through the other two ingredients. An absolute fantastic coffee bar!
The Fix: Walnut Hills

The Fix has two locations, both with different vibes. The one in East Walnut Hills has a much more modern aesthetic, where their other location is more cozy, rustic modern. This also changes the reason for going to each one. I'd recommend going to the East Walnut Hills location if you're looking to have a quiet atmosphere, where the other location is great for catching up with a friend!

The Fix has pretty decent coffee, but I would go for more of the regular drip coffee than their specialty drinks. I felt that the coffee tasted a bit too watered down in their lattes, and the espresso itself was not very flavorful, and had a much harsher and bitter taste to it. If you're one for a more bitter taste than smooth in your coffee, the Fix is for you!

Urbana Cafe has several locations all over Cincinnati, and each one has a unique atmosphere, not a one size fits all for each location. However, the common theme between a lot of the locations are that Urbana Cafe has a pretty modern vibe, usually with lots of light and a refreshing place to enjoy your coffee! My personal favorite is the East Walnut Hills location!

Urbana Cafe is for someone that doesn't love super strong or bold coffee. Their coffee is a very balanced taste, not too strong, but also not too watered down either. Urbana is a people pleaser coffee, I'm sure that everyone can get along with the taste! It's no wonder why Urbana is served all over Cincinnati.

Coffee bar by day, cocktail bar by night! I love the vibe of King Pigeon, with their neutral color pallet but with some dark blue accents. It's super light and airy, and almost everyone at King Pigeon was chatting with their friends! This shop is a very relaxed environment, and it was the perfect way to start my Sunday morning.

Even without sugar, their coffee has some sweetness to it, which is great for someone who doesn't love how bitter coffee can be, but doesn't want to add extra artificial sugars.
