Valentine is usually pretty quiet, with either people working or engaging in small conversations. I love stopping in Valentine for a quick coffee break- and it's always pretty busy! Valentine is also very cozy and I love the comfy seating that always feels warm and welcoming.
Valentine Coffee is hands down, my favorite coffee in Milwaukee. Strong, smooth, and incredibly flavorful are words that I use to describe Valentine. I love how their coffee interacts with milk and syrup within their lattes, but I also love how strong the espresso tastes on its own. You can never go wrong with Valentine!
Likewise is one of my favorite places in Milwaukee. The large windows make for great people watching and there's lots of seating throughout the shop. It's a pretty wide open space and it's the large community table is perfect for getting some studying done!
Likewise Coffee is very smooth and has the perfect amount of bitterness to it. I love their espresso- both in lattes or in americanos. I definitely recommend getting a flavored latte, their syrups are delicious!
Grace Coffee has lots of seating, a wide open space, is modern, but has a few character twists. I love the artwork and the cushy seating throughout the shop. Early in the morning it's a great place to have a quiet cup of coffee and a peaceful start to the morning!
Grace Coffee Co. is the place to go to if you like especially bitter coffee. Everyone has different preferences, and although I'm not a huge fan of bright tasting roasts, Grace might be the place for you! Definitely check this place out if you love tangy and acidic coffee.
The 12 Colectivo locations all vary in setup and "cuteness." Something that they all share is the more rustic modern vibe, often with colorful patio chairs outside. Colectivo is perfect for all occasions, whether it's doing homework or catching up with a friend! My personal favorite location is the Bay View Colectivo, where there are swinging tables and chairs outside, perfect for summer!
I absolutely love Colectivo coffee. You know that every time that you order from a Colectivo, that you will get your drinks crafted with care. Colectivo also serves their coffee at various other stores throughout Milwaukee, my personal favorite being Blum Coffee Garden in Greenfield. You're guaranteed to get a good cup of coffee at Colectivo, it's no wonder why they are a Milwaukee staple!
I love how chic and classy Vendetta is! There is lots of seating throughout the shop, and even an upstairs area to sit in. Although their Wauwautosa location is a bit smaller, you should still be able to find a place to sit. I absolutely love the elegance to the shop!

Lily's Choice: Hot Nutella Latte (Seasonal)
When I went to Vendetta, I was obsessed with their lattes. I got one of their seasonal lattes, the nutella latte, which is not on the menu all year round. However, I would still recommend trying their specialty lattes because the flavors especially popped from both the espresso and flavoring. This might be one of my favorite lattes yet! I

I also love how they roast their beans onsite, so you know you're getting the freshest beans possible.
Looking for a place to get work done? Wantable it the place to go! Not only do they have long tables to sit and work at, but also individual study rooms that can be reserved so you can work and enjoy your coffee.
Another Milwaukee coffee shop that serves Anodyne Coffee! Like I've previously said, if your taste buds love more acidic coffee that feels like it zaps you awake, then any place that serves Anodyne is for you! I personally love the more smooth and sweet coffee, however the strong, more acidic coffee never hurts either!
10/10 for everything Casera Cafe related! The new Milwaukee coffee shop has such a wide open space, so there is always room for you to hang by yourself or catch up with a friend. The whole shop has tons of natural light, so it still feels bright, even on the cloudiest Wisconsin days. Casera also has different syrups, beans, mugs, and more! Casera is definitely worth a visit.
It's no wonder why I love Casera so much since they serve Valentine Coffee! Their espresso is bold and flavorful, not too sweet, but not bitter either. Even better, they use many homemade syrups, so if you get a flavored drink, it won't the same as every other Monin Syrup drink you have. Casera is also a bakery, and it shows! All of their

Discourse Coffee, both the Fifth Ward/Walker's Point location and the downtown location are incredibly unique. Discourse has a very "cool person" vibe to it, such a gem of a coffee shop in Milwaukee. Although the Radio Milwaukee/Fifth Ward location is bigger, I love the downtown location because it is almost underground, truly feeling like a coffee lab.

Discourse has some of the most unique coffee. If you love experimental drinks, Discourse is the place to be. They use such unique ingredients in their drinks, that it's so hard to decide what to get! On top of having such experimental and unique drinks, their coffee is fantastic. So, even if you don't want a latte with pepper and an orange peel, their regular drip coffee still tastes amazing. Not only that, but I even liked their matcha! That's a huge deal, especially since I have never liked matcha tea lattes.
